I have pretty short hair and I have always turned enough heads, but now that I am soon to be single... I wonder if I will be able to get dates. I look a bit like Hilary Swank (I am not bragging, I have been stopped by strangers and told this quite often, even when visiting NYC). I am a hair stylist and I just prefer my short sassy style.

Also, if I grow my hair I wouldn't be doing it for ME. Isn't that something to consider!?

P.S. I grew my hair ONCE (for my wedding and everyone hated it, including my husband!).

When u wakeup before breakfast take a warm water glass with 1 lemon juice in it....It will improve your complection and reduce acidity in ur body which causes pimples

1) Peel and grate a cucumber, squeeze the juice of this, mix half-a-teaspoon glycerin and half-a-teaspoon rose water and lemon juice....Massage this on whole body, leave it for some time.

2) put dried rose patels on ur bath tub n take bath with this water.....if dried not available u can use fresh or rose water

For Skin Care :-

1)2 table spoons of Multani Mitti with rose water,lemon juice, Unboiled milk, one table spoon of basin.....apply for 30 minutes daily......Clear glowing beautifull skin

For Eye care:-

1) 4 dark circles adopt one of these tips....Put Use Tea bags On your eyes daily for 30mins .....Or Put Potato slices for 30mins.....cucumber slices can also used 4 the same purpose......Place cotton wool swabs dipped in warm milk on closed eyes for removing dark circles....

2)eye lashes;-For long eyelashes....apply a thin coat of castor oil every night......It strengthens lashes 2 such an extend that u will not need any maskara

I used to have perfect waves when I was 12. But I started straightening it. My perfect waves died, it's just alittle wavy and poofy. Now I've cut it short (am growing it out again- it's about 2 in past shoulder length), straighten it a lot with a protection and want to grow it out and have perfect waves again (I'm almost 14 now). Well i did that to my hair and i really liked how it looked on me, but my hair felt really hard and stringy like hay. Im going to be in a wedding in a couple of weeks and I wanted some advice on what would be a cheaper choice for getting my hair done professionally. Cutting it in particular, I figured I could just relax it at home since thats what I have been doing for the past 5-6yrs. What I really want to know is if I relax my hair at home, should I have my hair cut befor or after I relax ? OR should I just scroung up the money and have the hair dresser cut, perm, and press my hair all on the morning of the wedding? If so, about how much will this cost me?

As far as when to relax your hair you want to do it before the cut.

I would not normally suggest it but if you are having it colored or styled later you do not want to style it before you relax it.

Also by relaxing it first your scalp will have settled down and not be so sensitive when you have your style done.

Again I would not usually advice this but it has to do with the order of events and not committing to too many treatments in one day.

There is no way it will be affordable if you have all the treatments done at once.

I would call the salon and ask what they charge for a relax, cut and style.

They may offer a slight discount or include a cut and style with the relaxer so ask them first.

If is say $100 dollars for all three treatments and $80 for two it might be worth it to let the salon do the whole job.

You know how your hair responds to relaxing as you have had it done before.

I am not sure I would wait to the last minute in case you are not happy with the results.

Get it done now or at least do you relaxer now and the stylist can press it or blow dry it to give you the texture and style you need to look marvelous at the wedding.

There is nothing that says you have to have your hair up just becuase you are the bride. In fact many women opt for a hairstyle that is not an up-do. Maybe you can try wearing your hair half up, or pin back one side. Experiement with differnt styles and see what looks good on you. Make appointments with different hairstylests and see what they suggest. Look through hair magazines and bridal magazines to see what you like. Also hair may depend on if you have a veil or not. If yes, make sure you try the style with the veil to see if they match. also DO NOT cut or dye your hair less than a week before the wedding.... you never know when you may come across a hair disaster, leave youself time to fix anything so you are not hiding on your wedding day. CONGRATS!

Maggie Sottero dresses are very nice. My daughter wore the Dion for her wedding. If you want to wear your hair down then do it. It is your day and you should be happy. You didn't say what your hair was like - color, length, texture, etc. I would suggest soft curls with maybe the sides swept back to show your face.

You don't have to wear your hair up. Are you wearing a tiara or headpiece of some sort? How long is your hair? Wear it down with loose big curls. You can pull the sides up and use clips or wear a tiara. Your dress is beautiful!!! Excellent choice.

If the bride doesn't care, then go for it! I just got married June 9 and my maid of honor had a different hairstyle too. As long as the bride says that she does not mind, pick one that you will be comfortable in and confident with because that is what is important. However, know what the bride's hair is going to look like. You want to compliment it.... Not overpower it. After all, it IS her special day! Good Luck!

I might also suggest that if you have your hair put in an "up-do" that day that you bringa sample of your dress %26amp; picture of yourself in it that you bring your cosmetics and have her make you up. (You should discuss this beforehand, of course.) I have done this and been very pleased with the results; my stylist had ideas I wouldn't have thought of.

My suggestion is that no one here knows how you look, so the best thing is to go to a beauty counter, like Chanel or MAC, at a department store and have the ladies do a makeup on you. You may end up buying something, but you can use those later too-

Pull back the sides and clip it to the back top of your head.. Leave a few pieces in the front. Put flat curls throughout. Find something cute to hold it in place.

It will be easy and comfortable. And not too overdone.

if your dress is straps hair need to be up if not strapless hair can be worn in spirals or a good hairstyle but more an likely the hair up is more modern due to the activities and sweating going on before the honeymoon

put it in 3 elastics on top of your head. Then curl it in ringlets by little pieces. Then put it all in place with bobby-pins. and spray it. Sounds weird, but works great and is so cute/pretty. I promise. Works great with short hair. Good luck and Congrats!

2] eat well - no fried, fast, or junk food, even diet junk food

3] do aerobics 3 x a week

4] do pushups, situps, obliques, and crunches to maintain and tone

This will keep you in shape and decrease your stress level!

HAIR: look at styles form 1940s movies - Gone With the Wind, Gilda, Laura, Casablanca - with famous beautiful women.

Try to keep the bridesmaids' hair slightly similar, but not as

'fancy' as the bride!

Try your veil with hair up, down, pulled back, etc. so you can decde which flatters you most.

Blow dry your hair upside-down and use hairspray underneath your hair, for volume. I have shoulder length hair trying to grow it long again, but I usually keep my hair parted to the side, and have layers. I haven't really found a way to make it more stylish really. One thing you could try is taking the front pats of your hair and brushing them back over the top of your head to the back and making a semi-ponytail, and it won't expose your ears.

I agree, unless all 7 women have very similar hair (length/texture) your asking for some of them to have hairstyles that won't flatter them. If you want them all to do some version of an updo let them chose the part/style/etc... It's a little bridezilla-ish to set too many requirements. That being said the dresses sound cute, just what I would want for my bridesmaids. Try to keep in mind that people will look best in the pictures when they wear styles to flatter themselves. It's a nice idea to have everyone uniform, but if it's not working for a couple of the girls you may have some annoyed bridesmaids on your wedding day!!!!

Depends on your face shape but i personally like that length curled with large barrel curls.....a little bit tighter than a loose wave. Then I like some of the front pieces lightly pulled back. If you want to wear a veil you then could where any head piece where ever you choose. If you do, make your veil and headpiece detachable if you are wearing a veil. This way you can have your hair done and have your hairdresser place your tiara / and veil too if you like or you can put the veil on right before and take it off later without messing up your hair. Another little tip. If you are wearing a veil and want it to look positioned a certain way. When you get it exactly the right way you can lightly spray it with aerosol hair spray. (If you want it to have a little volume on top - would be the only reason to spray it) It doesn't show up on the veil either. Congrats! Also if you have bangs I think they look best worn to the side, if not even better with this style.

--she had the hair highlighted day before - not good (she said)

Bottomline, go to the hairdresser at least 2/3 times before the wedding. Have pictures taken with your digital camera. Keep them all in the camera. Then watch on the largest TV screen you can - and you will see what is the best.

--remember to take whatever you are going to wear on your head to the hair dresser.

--if you are getting highlights or hair coloring, do it on the first visit.

-- you didn't mention, but my granddaughter wore the most comfy shoes she could find - flats! - nobody can see them under the wedding dress - she was so happy and comfy...and she started wearing them around the house a month before the wedding.

and last but not least, as a planner many a wedding for family and friends - THIS will be the most important day in your life besides the day when your children are born. BE Happy, DON'T sweat the little stuff. Flower Girl Hairstyles for the wedding day ?

Hi, Im getting married in July and I was planning to get my flowersgirls hair done by a hairdresser I have been going to that cuts my hair and was going to style my bridal hair for the wedding, I went to have my trial last night, and the style she did was nothing like I expected and I dont think I want it that way for the wedding, I didnt say anything as not to hurt her feelings but I generally would not want my hair like this for my wedding day.

All I wanted was ringlets but It didnt look that way so when I got home I got out my curlers and my mum did it for me and it looked much better. So where going to do it our selves.

The thing is I was going to get the lady to do the Flower Girls as well, but I dont think the styles she does are suitable, and I am wanting to try and do it myself as but I am stuck for ideas.

So far I have got a french plate, or just curls.

I did my daughters' hair for a wedding and it was really simple, elegant and cute. I just parted it on the side and pulled it back into a ponytail. Then I separated it into small sections like I was going to do small braids but instead I twisted each section and made a small bun/spiral for each piece. Put one bobby pin in each twirl. So the final style looks like seven or eight swirls around in bun with one in the middle. That is the best way to explain it. You could even leave a small piece down in the front with a ringlet or if the child has bangs it also works well. Put some baby's breath or some small white flowers or a hair piece in their hair. Trust me it is very beautiful, easy and it stays in well for the whole day.

I think the hairdo is really cute. It is not a requirement for you to dress as dressy as your date if he is in the wedding. I think a floral would be fine. I'm a big fan of comfort and could not bear to wear heals for any length of time. I have seen many people change from heels at the wedding to flats or even dressy sandals at the reception. Since your hair is thin i would curl it a little but not too curly...more wavyy. Create soft waves. And try using a bronzer to brighten up your face it will make your light blonde hair stand out more and also wear eyeliner and mascara to eccentuate your blue eyes

this is what I did

flat ironed my hair, pulled up the top half, had straight bangs that hit just above my chin, my dress was srapless so I rocked it out with a couple of long necklaces and some dark, dramatic eye make-up, not super dramatic just smokey and dark, and I did wear a veil, in the back, not over my face.

You could pin it up, bring it together in a twist bun, or use clips. Even a hair piece like a flower on the side of your hair might do nicely. Or do what you think you might need. Just as long as it doesn't cause problems.

Here's a thought. At the beauty supply stores, the drug stores, and department stores they sell hair pieces that are attached to clips.

There are different colors that can match her color, and different types like curls so she could have the look of more hair without having to spend a lot of time getting ready.

To use the clips, she would just put her own hair in a ponytail, and clip the hair piece over the ponytail. Make sure the plastic clip is hidden...it looks tacky if it is showing.

up-do's are really hard to do yourself and they never come out like the pictures. just so you know. more than likely she has some fake hair in there also. so don't be disappointed if yours doesn't look the same when you try it. you'll need a big barrel curling iron and a lot of bobby pins. give yourself a part in the front and just start pinning sections. curl them first and then pin them down.

I am a really big fan of the LONG veils with dresses that don't have much of a train. It looks so dramatic and elegant, but still a bit casual if the dress doesn't have a train.
